The Spring Knitting & Stitching Show is creating a farm made entirely of knitted (and crocheted) animals, and want you to join in. Enter the Knitted Farm competition, show off your skills and win prizes!
The show is working with the Sally Muir & Joanna Osborne, authors of Knit your own Farm (Pavilion) who have provided four knitting patterns from the book fr you to download. Choose from a cow, pig, sheep or lamb at www.theknittingandstitchingshow.com/spring where you’ll also find the entry form and rules.
Additional farm animals and objects are welcome too and prizes for the most innovative and best executed items will be awarded at the show.
The Knitted Farm is one of many exciting features at The Spring Knitting & Stitching Show, which takes place from 5 – 8 March 2015 at Olympia, London. You can also enjoy an interactive Crochet Jungle in association with TOFT; immerse yourself in the jungle complete with crocheted animals and learn how to crochet while you’re there! Plus collaborations with London’s Fashion and Textiles Museum and their new exhibitions, Thea Porter: 70s Bohemian Chic and Riviera Style: Resort and Swimwear since 1900.
The Spring Knitting & Stitching Show is the biggest Spring craft show in London, offering over 200 exhibitors selling specialist supplies, hundreds of workshops in a huge range of subjects, plus inspirational features. The Dressmaking Studio in association with The McCall Pattern Company returns offering classes on everything from zip insertion to understanding patterns, and for those interested in interiors The K&S Homestyle Theatre offers free demos and talks from leading names in the sewing world.
