Howard L. Traxler. G.G. is a Graduate Gemologist with over 30 years experience in the jewelry industry.

Jewelry appraisals are performed in accordance with the Uniform Standards of Appraisal Practices and NAJA guidelines.
Insurance Replacement Appraisals
Purpose:
A replacement value report is used by your insurance company to provide descriptive and value information to insure your jewelry items against loss or damage.
We offer a fun and interactive experience while you wait. We will determine which type of appraisal is appropriate for your situation, and you will be given a detailed description of each item including the 4 C’s for diamond jewelry when your appraisal is completed.
Verbal appraisals start at $50 per item. Insurance Appraisal 5 Pages starts at $150 per item.

Divorce Settlement/Dissolution Of Marriage

Purpose: For equitable division of community property, fair market value is used.
- In most cases, reaching a settlement agreement is preferable to a trial. Trials are often long, expensive, and unpredictable.
- Couples in a highly contentious situation may fare better with a structured settlement conference, where a judge runs the meeting and the attorneys do most of the talking, compared to meeting in a less formal setting (like mediation).
- This process can be helpful in negotiating complicated issues like custody, parenting plans, and the division of complex assets.
- If you don’t end up with a settlement as a result of the conference, nothing discussed at the conference can be used in a trial.
Jewelry Appraisals While You Wait
All appraisals are by appointment. For one or two items an appointment usually take 45 minutes. In most instances, the appraisal is completed and given to you at the end of the appointment.
Each article of jewelry is measured, weighed, and described in detail, metal content determined, and setting described. When we have finished evaluating your jewelry, you will receive an appraisal report to take with you. It includes a digital picture of the item on the appraisal report.
On-site, rush, or in-vault jewelry appraisals are available at an additional fee.
